Before delving into the issue of torture and misconduct by the police in dealing with suspects, including child suspects, we must answer the question of why “journalists” have become the focal point of the promotional project of “Justice for Children and Adolescents.” The media are the most important means of communication between promoters and the public, stakeholders, and officials, but this is not the only reason why the role of journalists in promotional projects is crucial. The mission of journalism and the mandate entrusted to the media based on international rules and agreements have reminded us that, initially, we should remind journalists of this mission and support them in the interest of children and adolescents.
آنچه روزنامه نگاران باید در حوزه شکنجه و سوء رفتار پلیس علیه کودکان بدانند
پیش از ورود به مساله شکنجه و سوء‌رفتار پلیس در مواجهه با متهمان از جمله متهمان کودک، باید به این پرسش پاسخ داد که چرا «روزنامه نگاران» مرکز ثقل پروژه ترویجی «عدالت برای کودکان و نوجوانان» شده‌اند؟ رسانه‌ها مهمترین راه‌های ارتباطی میان ترویج‌گران و مردم، ذی‌نفعان و مسئولین، بوده و هستند ولی این تنها دلیلی نیست که نقش روزنامه‌نگاران در پروژه‌های ترویجی را مهم می‌سازد بلکه رسالت روزنامه‌نگاری و ماموریتی که براساس قواعد و پیمان‌نامه‌های بین‌المللی به رسانه‌ها واگذار شده، ما را بر آن داشت تا در آغاز، این رسالت را به روزنامه‌نگاران یادآوری و حمایت آنها را به نفع کودکان و نوجوانان جلب کنیم.
